I have been using the Rimmel 1-2-3 Looks mascara for a while now and it is one that I reach for quite a bit. The idea of this mascara is that it has a dial click that you turn and you can choose the setting of 1, 2 or 3.
Rimmel says "Breakthrough adjustable volume mascara – 3 settings for 3 glam looks in 1 mascara! To choose the look you want, hold the bottle in one hand and turn the center part of the pack following the arrow, then pull out the brush:
Turn to 1: up to 3x more volume, for chic day-time volume.
Turn to 2: up to 5x more volume, for more voluptuous volume.
Turn to 3: up to 10x more volume, for dramatic volume.
Dial one is great for natural looking lashes such as the daytime. It gives a great coverage, well defined lashes, great application, no clogginess or fallout. It is definitely great if you just want a little mascara to even out the colour of your lashes.
Dial two is great if you want a little more volume to your lashes. Separates the lashes well. Great for daytime or evening without looking too false. You can see that the wand has more product on it compared to dial one.
Dial three is definitely for a full dramatic look. There is definitely a lot more product that comes out to create the fullness and volume on your lashes. I did find a little clumping but if you apply one to two coats its fine. Definitely great for a special occasion or if you just want to have those really full, volumised lashes. This is my favourite dial, love the full, thicker separated look.
I think this is really convenient to have as it is three looks in the one tube! Overall this product is great. There is no smudging or flaking. The brush is soft, has a thick brush and is tapered, so easy to swipe on the lashes. I have heard that on others the dial three can get clumpy as it is full on, you may need to be extra careful how it is applied if it does clump.
I have also used the Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara if you want to check out the review.
Definitely the Rimmel 1-2-3 Looks mascara is one that I would recommend. It retails for $18.95 aud from priceline and deparment stores.
What is your favourite mascara?
