TRESemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo Review

When I saw the TRESemme Fresh Start dry shampoo on sale I thought I'd give it a try. I have seen mixed reviews on this product, depending on your hair type it seems to work different for everyone.

I usually like to wash my hair everyday because I have oily roots and generally dry hair ( due to colouring) and by the second day you can tell that I need to wash my hair. I try not to though as I also don't like to strip my hair of its natural oils. So a dry shampoo sounds great to use.

The TRESemme Fresh Start dry shampoo is the first one I have used and I like it. The way this product works is the formula has mineral clay that soaks up excess oil and impurities to leave your hair looking refreshed. It also contains citrus extracts to neutralize odor and enhance your hair to feel clean gives it added body and bounce. The spray has a nice subtle citrus smell.

Its easy to use, it comes in a can with a spray nozzle.

To use it you need to give the can a good shake before using it and then spray the roots of your hair evenly holding the can 30-40cms away from your head. I spray it in short sprays and shake the can in between sprays. You then leave it in for 1-2 minutes to allow the hair to soak up the oil. I then use my fingers to rough it up and then brush my hair and style it. Once you use it a few times you will find the best technique.

For me it works really well and gives my hair some volume if styled. A few times it left a white residue on my hair, but I found that was because I was spraying too close and didn't wait long enough 1-2 minutes before brushing and styling. Other than that it did its job. My hair looks decent and saves me washing it everyday.

The TRESemme Fresh Start dry shampoo retails for around $11 aud and can be purchased from Priceline or department stores.

Have you used a dry shampoo? Do you like it?
