I found some pretty nice underwater fashion photos that I would like to share here. I really like this technique because it shows the photographers talent and also the model capacity of standing still to provide the best close distance to the image and also the ability to hold your breath. Underwater photographers are faced with lots of technical challenges and also an understanding of certain principles of light beneath the sea. Most of the challenges are caused by the way light refracts underwater. Above the water, the camera sees at the same level of magnification as your eyes. The same cannot be said for underwater photography. In general the diver’s mask magnifies everything by 25%.
Don’t forget you and your model have to be good swimmers, divers and be comfortable under water. Anyway, check them out. I find them fascinating….
