I have heard lots about Aveeno products but haven't tried any of their skincare products. So whilst doing some online shopping a few months ago, I came across the Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming cleanser.
The Aveeno Ultra Calming line of products are to soothe sensitive skin and reduce the appearance of redness on the skin. I have redness particularly around my cheeks and chin area so I was interested to see how this would work.
This is what Aveeno says: Naturally calming Feverfew, a natural ingredient related to chamomile, this light foaming cleanser helps visibly reduce the appearance of redness and calm dry, irritated or sensitive skin while gently cleansing. Fragrance-free, soap-free, noncomedogenic, and hypoallergenic, this cleanser lifts away dirt, oil, and make-up without over-drying or aggravating even very sensitive skin. This cleanser is gentle enough to use every day.
The Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser comes in a pump bottle which is easy to use and good size 177ml bottle. When you pump the product out it is foamy, I usually use two pumps for my whole face.
It doesn't have a fragrance, just a neutral smell.
It feels smooth, mild and easy to cleanse with on my face and neck. Once I rinse it off, my skin feels clean and fresh. The first time I used this cleanser, after getting out of the shower my redness was visibly reduced, a great result after one use. Over a few days, my skin's redness definitely has calmed down and with continual use it stays calm.
I don't feel any tightening of the skin or dryness, just a calm, clean face. As this is a mild cleanser, I remove my makeup first with a makeup remover and cleanser and then use this as a last step in my cleansing routine.
I would recommend this for anyone that needs help in reducing their redness or have sensitive skin. There have been mixed reviews on this product, but for me I find its great to calm the skin and reduce the redness.
The Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser is available in supermarkets or department stores and retails for $13.95aud.
There are some other products I have tried from the Aveeno Ultra -Calming range that I will review as well soon.
Have you tried any Aveeno products? Do you suffer from redness or sensitive skin? What cleanser are you using at the moment?
