Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer Review

I love concealers and am always on the search for great ones. Concealer is something that I use everyday, even if I am not wearing much makeup I am always wearing a concealer under my eyes. Recently Maybelline came out with a new product called Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment concealer.

The packaging of this product is compact and easy to carry around which I like. It comes in a 6ml plastic tube with a puffy top where the concealer comes out of once you wind it up.

Maybelline says: Micro-Corrector Applicator micro-fills and smoothes. Active formula with Haloxyl reduces the look of puffiness and shadows while fading the appearance of under-eye circles. Apply neutralizer shade for extreme dark circles. Brightener shade adds a luminous touch.

The texture of this concealer is creamy not too thin or not too thick. It applies smoothly when you apply it with the puffy ball and then blend out with your ring finger. The puffy ball is the perfect size for under the eye area which makes it easy to apply.

I don't have dark circles, but rather little imperfections under my eye that I want to conceal and this works great. I have a light skintone, so finding the right shade for me in any makeup is always hard, but I found the light pale in this range matches well.

Getting the product out of the puffy top requires you to twist the red top until the product comes out which can be a bit tedious, but it does come out after a few clicks. The puffy ball is what gives it the smooth application.

On the packaging it says that the puffy top is protected with an anti-microbial system so you don't need to wash it, just wipe off excess with dry tissue. I always make sure that I use up all the concealer that comes out when I wind up the top (so only wind up a little, to get a little product and build up if you need more) and this works well for me.

The coverage is great, it does conceal well for me and doesn't settle into fine lines. There is also a brightener shade which is a really light bright shade which works well if I do get dull, puffy skin - I apply a little of it first and then the concealer shade I like on top to give me a more awake look. (the brightener shade would work well if you had dark circles to use on first and then apply with your concealer shade)

Overall the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer works well for me and is my concealer I use at the moment. The eraser contains essential oils and vitamin C, as well as ingredients with proven anti-inflammatory benefits. It retails for $18.95aud from supermarkets or department stores.

What concealer are you using at the moment?
