Make it happen!

Sometimes I feel like I am stuck. I know what I want, but I can't make things happen. Its just too hard or it seems impossible.

There comes a time in life when you just need to make it happen. No matter what it is  - you can do it!

Challenges will always come along, no matter where you are in life but how you respond to them is what will determine who you are and everything you can be.

Set your goals and work towards reaching them. One step at a time and you will get there.

Do your best, because the best is what you can do.

Opportunities present themselves for a reason, take the right ones and make them happen.

You are the only one that can find the answers to a more fulfilling life.

Reach out for your dreams, and make them happen.

Go after what you want in life, and you will find out that wishes do come true.

Do you ever feel like your stuck and nothing is working out for you? What helps you make it happen?

Estee Lauder Time Zone Night Anti-Line/Wrinkle Creme Review

picture taken from EL website
I have been using Estee Lauder skin products for the last six years or so.  I was introduced to Estee Lauder by a friend who mentioned how great the moisturisers are and I thought I might give it a try. I have loved Estee Lauder skin products ever since.

In the last few weeks, I have been using the trial size of the Estee Lauder Time Zone Night Anti-Line/Wrinkle Creme. You can pick up a trial size at any Estee Lauder counter.

As per Estee Lauder:  This age-defying moisturizer works overnight to help dramatically reduce the look of lines and wrinkles. Our exclusive Sirtuin EX1 Technology helps reverse the appearance of aging for a years-younger look-more lineless, radiant and rested. Helps support skin's nightly restorative actions including natural collagen production with an amino acid complex. And while you sleep, the soothing scent calms and relaxes. Use it with Time Zone day creme and look 10 years younger in just 4 weeks.

I really think this night cream is fantastic and gives me the results I want. The cream is a gorgeous light pink colour, that feels so soft and silky. It has a beautiful scent, I can't describe it, its just lovely.

You apply it after cleansing and in conjunction with a repair serum ( this is optional but recommended). You don't need much, it is a creamy texture, so a little, is all you need. When I apply it to my skin it feels soft, hydrated and absorbs really quickly. When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels beautiful and glowing. My skin has definitely improved in its softness and evenness. After using this just once, I felt these results. My fine lines are diminishing. Over the weeks it just gets better and my skin loves this night cream.

Do you use a night cream?

China Glaze nailpolish review - Cheek to Cheek colour

I am totally in love with this gorgeous nailpolish colour. Its China Glaze - Cheek to Cheek nailpolish, a beautiful sheer, peachy pink with gold shimmer. It gives the nails a elegant, natural look and its a colour that  you can wear with anything. I have taken a few photos so that I could capture the true colour of the nailpolish.

This China Glaze nailpolish is smooth to apply, leaves no streaking and gives great coverage. It dries within a few minutes too which is great. It also has nail hardening ingredients, which I love as it really does leave my nails hard, and stronger and  grow longer when wearing this polish.

This is my first China Glaze nailpolish that I have tried and I am very impressed. China Glaze nailpolishes are oil based and dont thicken up in the bottle. They have a unique blend of polymers and resins which maintains the colour. They have a beautiful shine and are pretty long wearing, and resist chipping and peeling.

Have you tried China Glaze nailpolishes? What is your all time favourite nailpolish ?

How to be positive!

Negativity is not a good thing. It can bring you down, sad, depressed and feeling like there is no solution. Although in life there are certainly times which are negative, we must try and stay positive as much as possible. It can be done, it takes effort and willpower to be positive. So how do you be and remain positive? Here are a  few pointers:

1.Positive thoughts - Its really important how we think. The moment you see that you are diving into frustration, sorrow and low self-esteem, change your thoughts by thinking about something completely unrelated and positive.

2. Get rid of negativity - There will always be someone you know that is negative. It could be a family member, co-worker, or friend. Limit your interaction with them, and tell them you don't want to hear their negativity. Don't be afraid to do this, no matter who they are, you are more important and thats what matters.

3. Learn from the experience - There is always a lesson to be learned from every situation. No matter how sad the situation is, try and find the beautiful lessons that can be learnt. Every problem is a learning opportunity in disguise. We all make mistakes, but now you can accept it and know that you will make a different decision in the future. Be appreciative for the experience they teach us to be better prepared.

4. Be grateful - You can't be angry and grateful at the same time. Look around you and count the blessings and miracles in your life, start looking for them and you will find them. There is lots to be grateful for.  You are alive and breathing, thats a big one to be grateful for! Recognise how lucky you are and all the abundance in your life.

5. Look and smile  - Its a simple smile, try it - just smile for a minute, even if you don't mean it, just smile. Sometimes just thinking of a simple happy thought or seeing something, can make you positive. Surround yourself with uplifting messages in your study area, or office desk, you can setup your email to send you positive affirmations, or buy a desk calendar with positive affirmations.

The habit of remaining positive in all situations takes practice and a commitment to yourself to take control. Start by wanting to change. I am constantly working on this and therefore wanted to share it with you. I want to be a positive energy source, and although it will take time, I am keen to keep on trying.

Do you agree? What do you do to keep positive?

Rubbermaid Reveal Mop Review and a Giveaway! (GIVEAWAY CLOSED)

Have you ever wondered if there is a easier way to mopping? Getting a bucket, filling it up with water, dragging it around to do the mopping, it is a tedious chore. Well that has been all resolved with the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop. I was sent the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop to review and I cannot believe how easy it is to use and what a great job it does.

The Rubbermaid Reveal Mop is a microfibre mop that comes with a bottle attached to the mop, that you fill with water and your cleaning solution. You then squirt the handle to spray the water on the floor and mop over it. Thats it, so easy. The microfibre mop glides over the floor, giving the tiles a good clean.

The microfibre pad is machine washable, just avoid bleach or fabric softener. So once you've finished cleaning, you just need to remove the pad and place it in the washing machine.

The handle is easy to manouver and glides smoothly around chairs, doors etc and the microfiber pad picks up dust as well. The Rubbermaid Reveal mop in my honest opinion is fantastic. I love it and will continue to use it rather than a traditional mop. Its so much more easier and quicker to use.

The Rubbermaid Reveal mop can be bought anywhere internationally and now in Australia from selected Bunnings stores and retails for $39.95 aud. For more information check out http://www.rubbermaid.com/.

Stubbies school wear sunsmart clothing range

The one most important piece of advice I give to my children is to protect their skin from the sun. The sun can be so harmful it is extremely important especially for children who are playing outside to be wearing sunscreen on at all times. We all know that sun exposure is a significant contributor to the lifetime risk of skin cancer.

When I was contacted to review the Stubbies schoolwear sun smart clothing line I was very excited and impressed. Stubbies school wear is a full range of light weight school uniform items with 50+ UPF. The range are made with tighter woven material to block out about 97 per cent of the ultraviolet radiation that causes sunburn. All products have been tested to comply with Cancer Council Australia’s SunSmart standards.

I was sent a Stubbies school wear polo shirt. The shirt has a button front, revere collar, under arm vents and curved hem with side splits. My son tried it on and he really liked the way it felt on him. He loved that it was so comfortable and loose fitting.

I am so happy that Stubbies have introduced the sun smart range. I constantly worry about my son playing outside at school between 10am to 3pm, because harmful UV rays can pass through woven fabrics and reach a child's skin.

With the Stubbies school wear sun smart range I know he will be protected due to the tightly woven fabrics such as polyester, cotton and microfiber and the 50+ UPF provides excellent protection blocking at least 97% of the sun's UV, which makes the Stubbies school wear the safest and best way to go when choosing school wear.  Of course he will still need sunscreen whereever his skin is exposed.

There are colours that will suit all Victorian schools. Its definitely worth a look to see for yourself the Stubbies school wear sun smart range at http://www.stubbieschoolwear.com.au/.

How my morning beauty routine is done?

Looking after your skin is the most important beauty advice you will hear. Your skin needs constant attention in order for it to look and feel great. I have no problem with looking after my skin in the evening, its the mornings that always seem to be the hardest for me. Trying to get breakfast ready and two young children ready, is plenty to keep me busy and neglect my skin.

But it only takes a few extra minutes to look after your skin. This is what I find works best for me:
  • I rinse my face with warm water.
  • Cleanse my face. (I'm using a Dove cleanser at the moment)
  • Rinse off with cold water.
  • Apply my moisturiser and let it absorb for about five minutes. (I'm using Neutrogena health defence day moisturiser at the moment)
  • Apply primer and let it absorb for about five minutes too ( using a primer is optional) ( I use the face of australis face primer at the moment)
  • Now my face is ready for makeup.
The key is to let the products you use to absorb into the skin for a few minutes. There are days where I dont have time to cleanse in the morning, so I usually use makeup wipes to give my face a quick clean and then apply my makeup.

Once you get in the habit of a quick routine, your skin will love you for it!

Do you cleanse your face every morning?

Aden + Anais Issie security blankets review

My sixteen month old daughter is into everything at the moment. She loves exploring and playing with her toys. When I was sent the Issie security blankets from Aden + Anais to review, I was excited to see her reaction.  She loves anything that is colourful, and interesting and is really enjoying the Issie security blankets.

Issies are made from aden + anais’ signature fabric – natural cotton muslin – and playfully designed in our exclusive, modern prints.  Natural cotton muslin is breathable and our open weave construction allows liberal airflow for even the youngest baby.  Designed to be portable and just the right size to cuddle up with, our Issies measure 40cm x 40cm. Each pack contains two identical Issies, one for the wash and one for snuggling up with.  Available in several different patterns.

Aden + Anais  Issie security blankets are excellent, the muslin material is beautiful and soft, really gentle to handle. Aden + Anais also have many other great products like the muslin swaddles, sleeping bags, dream blankets and many more.  The Aden + Anais website is easy to use and there is everything you need to know about what they sell, definitely check them out http://www.adenandanais.com.au/  If you have children yourself, or if you are looking for a present for family or friends these are great.

Do your children like security blankets?

Dinner is a breeze - with a slow cooker!

I have never been a good cook. Its one of those things that I wish I could do well, but no matter how much I try I just can't cook. Its either too salty, or not cooked long enough, or not spicy enough and the list goes on.

For the last few months, I have been debating at whether I should buy a slow cooker. Lots of people love them because they are easy to use and the food is really nice when cooked in a slow cooker. I did my research and could only find positive feedback on the slow cookers. So it definitely sounds worth it.

So I went out on the weekend and bought my very first slow cooker.

I have cooked a few dishes in it now and they are perfect. The preparation to get all the ingredients ready takes me about tweny minutes, I then place them all in the slow cooker and its cooks on low for 8 hours.

I absolutely love it. It saves me lots of time, and the food is always perfect. I have tried Beef Stroganoff, Herb and Garlic Lamb Shanks and Chicken with mushrooms. All great meals. My husband and children love the meals too which is fantastic. The slow cooker is definitely a great investment.

Do you like cooking? What do you like to cook?

Fashion, hair and makeup picks from the Golden Globes 2011

Everyone is blogging about their favourite dresses and styles from the Golden Globes 2011 so I wanted to join in the fun. I'm not going to post a picture of all the stars because I'm sure you will see them all over the news, magazines and other blogs. I just wanted to show you which one I like the most.

I love the dress on Scarlett Johannsen - a winged sleeve, nude colour, shimmering Elie Saab gown, a classic 1940s style.

For hair and makeup I love Dianna Agron's - simple eye and a nice red lip. Her hair is gorgeous, pinned to the sides and nice flowing curls.

What do you think? Did you have a favourite dress or look that you liked from the Golden Globes 2011?
